IN-PERSON COURSE FEE: $795
The course fee includes 7 online sessions (7 weekly two-hour sessions), all course materials, certification exam and certification fee.

CPE CREDIT: For professionals completing CNAP online, FMA is authorized to offer 16.5 CPE (Continuing Professional Education) credits through the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy. Attendees must attend all online webinar sessions to receive the credit.

State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Refunds
FMA will offer registrants a full refund less a 3% processing fee for requests made in writing no later than three days before the event. Requests made later than three days prior to the training will receive a refund of 50%. Registrants can also request to transfer to another class at no extra cost.

Introduction

In this course you will learn concepts and best practices to develop a sound fiscal management infrastructure for your nonprofit organization.

Week 1

The nature of nonprofit organizations and the roles and responsibilities of governance entities

Week 2

Understand nonprofit GAAP and financial statements

Week 3

Budgeting and contracts

Week 4

Allocating costs

Week 5

Effective fiscal systems, internal controls and audits

Week 6

IRS disclosure requirements and the basics of IRS Form 990

Week 7

Wrap up and review

CNAP Certification

Pass the CNAP certification exam, and submit your course feedback and 18-month employment verification letter to receive your CNAP Certificate of Completion.
