CNAP 2.0: Advanced Topics in Nonprofit Fiscal Management

In this two-day intensive follow-on, available only to graduates of the original CNAP program, students take a deep dive into activating the lessons of CNAP across their organizations, moving from fiscal confidence and skills to fiscal leadership and organizational transformation.

  • Building Interdepartmental Communication around Finance
  • Financial Governance and Policies

  • Cybersecurity

The course fee includes 2 days of in-person training with meals and all course materials.

CPE CREDIT: For professionals completing CNAP In-person, FMA is authorized to offer 13 CPE (Continuing Professional Education) credits through the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy. Attendees must attend all sessions to receive the credit.

Event Cancellation Policy
FMA reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment, inclement weather or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If FMA cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund.

FMA will offer registrants a full refund less a 3% processing fee for requests made in writing no later than three days before the event. Requests made later than three days prior to the training will receive a refund of 50%. Registrants can also request to transfer to another class at no extra cost.

In this course, participants will build upon their knowledge from the CNAP 1.0 course and take a deeper dive into fiscal planning, management, and strategy.

2 Day Live Sessions

Day 1: FASB financial reporting & disclosure, revenue recognition of grants/contracts; split interest agreements; gift agreements and fiscal sponsorship. Day 2: Financial governance; regulatory compliance; social enterprises and cybersecurity.

Final Exam

Take a brief survey and pass the final exam to receive your CPE credits for this course.
