CNAP 2.0: Advanced Topics in Nonprofit Fiscal Management

Participants must complete the Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP) course to be eligible for this course

With more than 2000 graduates in the last decade, the Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP) course has helped build the confidence and fiscal management skills of nonprofit leaders across the country. Now, the CNAP program is taking these graduates to the next level with CNAP 2.0: Advanced Topics in Nonprofit Fiscal Management. In this two-day intensive follow-on, available only to graduates of the original CNAP program, students take a deep dive into activating the lessons of CNAP across their organizations, moving from fiscal confidence and skills to fiscal leadership and organizational transformation.

  • Understanding Nonprofit Financial Reporting and Disclosure
  • Revenue Recognition of Grants and Contracts
  • Building Interdepartmental Communication around Finance
  • Financial Governance and Policies
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Cybersecurity

Prerequisites: Participants must have taken and passed the CNAP Essentials Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professionals Course exam to qualify.

Advance Preparation: None.

IN-PERSON COURSE FEE: $795
The course fee includes 5 online sessions (5 weekly two-hour sessions), all course materials, certification exam and certification fee.

CPE CREDIT: For professionals completing CNAP In-person, BDO FMA is authorized to offer 10 CPE (Continuing Professional Education) credits through the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy. Attendees must attend all sessions to receive the credit.

Event Cancellation Policy

Event Cancellation by FMA
FMA reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If FMA cancels an event, registrants will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer registration to a different date. .

Event Cancellation by Participant
FMA will offer registrants a full refund less a 3% processing fee for requests made in writing no later than three days before the event. Requests made later than three days prior to the training will receive a refund of 50%. Registrants can also request to transfer to another class at no extra cost.
